How to connect the trial D365 Marketing data to the trial D365 CE data?

Hello Community,

I have set up a free trial instance of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, and I have also connected a free trial instance of Dynamics 365 Marketing to it.

However, when I launch the D365 Marketing app, it appears the data is different from that of the D365 CE instance. For example, the contact records in the D365 CE instance are not found in the D365 Marketing app. I would assume the D365 Marketing app should use the same data set since it's connected, no?

Is there a way I can achieve that?

Any pointers would be appreciated!

Thank you!

    Hello Eric,

The Dynamics 365 Marketing trial can't be installed on a existing Dynamics 365 CE trial instance and yes the data will be different both the applications.

Each Marketing trial comes pre-installed on a dedicated trial instance included with the trial. You can't install a Marketing trial on an existing instance.

Please refer this article for more information:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/trial-signup#differences-between-marketing-trials-and-production-instances

However we have verified that there is Out of Box collaboration with Dynamics Marketing with the Dynamics 365 Sales instance.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/sales-marketing-integration

Otherwise, you can use the feature import and export of data using excel from D365 CE to Marketing Application.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/import-data

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/export-data-word-excel

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
