How to define the posting date / accounting date in AR free text invoice

In the AR free text invoice, the invoice date is marked on 28-DEC-2024 but i have posted it today (i.e. 13-JAN-2025).
However, this invoice journal is posted into period DEC-2024 instead of today.
 
 
Please advise how to post this AR invoice journal today. Any accounting date can be marked?

    Hi Lee,
     
    In AR, your invoice date is your posting date. There is no separate field for posting date.
     
    Also, please check why your client wants to post back dated customer invoice as it has some legal implications.

    Hi,

    Typically, the FTI date and the invoice date should align. For instance, if an invoice is created on 11.01.2024 with the date set to 31.12.2024, once posted, the invoice journal will reflect 31.12.2024 as the date.

    In your case, if this alignment issue persists, I recommend reproducing it in the DEV environment. This will allow a developer to investigate and debug the issue more effectively.
