When I Preview source file,get the exception :"Package execution failed please check event log in DMF service box"

But I couldn't find any information about DMF int the Envent Viewer

Where can I find further information about the exception?

Look in the Event Viewer on the server running SSIS and the DMF Service.

I install all components in one server,including AOS,SSIS and DMF Servcie.

But I can't find any log abount DMF in the Envent Viewer,would you please tell me the DMF Log position in the EventViewer?Thanks!

Maybe there is some configuration value error. I restart the DIXF Services and it can write event log now.Thanks!

In the "Select entities for processing group" form try to click on "Preview error details" button.

Hi Farseer

I have the same exception message as you had in January. Did you find a solution why this happens? When I generate the source mapping again the preview open normaly. But a certain time later the exception show up again without having changed something before.

Make sure SSIS is also installed where the SQL Server Agent is running.

What version of SQL Server are you running?

I'm asking because the error code seems to imply that some prerequisites are missing.

Hi Tommy,

It is working now.

But when I install the DMF in another environment ( windows 2008 service R2 ) I get below error. I install VS 2010.

Product: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Data Import Export Framework Service Component -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
