I have added our Twitter profile to our social engagement account however it is not monitoring twitter? has anyone else come across this issue. It is only monitoring blogs and news???

Have you created a search topic for your twitter feed or just added it as a social profile under settings?
Thank you Ian Nicholls for pointing out the right aspect. To start listening to twitter as a source you need to configure search topic and not only adding the profile. you can either monitor twitter through Keyword search rules or entire accounts. further information can be found here www.microsoft.com/.../set-up-searches-to-listen-to-social-media-conversations.aspx
