Hi,

Can you tell me what is involved for a customer of Microsoft 365 or Microsoft SL to send address, zip code, sales tax, invoice quantity, product description, etc., to me, a credit card processing company (Fiserv/First Data)?  Is it a difficult set-up for MS to send this data along with card number, expiration and CVV?  

Is a simply check-marking some software setting boxes or is it impossible or somewhere in between?

    I've done some payment gateway integrations myself. Under Microsoft SL some things comes naturally, others don't. An MS Dynamics SL app can issue a synchronous XMLHttpRequest pretty straight away, so a credit card integration should fit.

    • Sending an unencrypted XML with the data you mentioned as an http POST body ==> NATURAL.
    • Parsing an unencrypted XML response ==> NATURAL.
    • Encrypt/decrypt parts of the XML documents ==> DOABLE
    • The same with JSON ==> A LONG SHOT.
    • Calling SOAP services ==> A LONG SHOT.
    • Setting up a listening URL endpoint for asynchronous notifications ==> NO WAY

    You may want to check the add-on from Catalina Technology to see how they enable credit card integration with SL.
