What kind of spec you expect for environment cpu process and ram?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I was just looking at the spec you need to run the d365 on premises here and surprised by a mount of RAM required (24GB)

I am curious to know that is what you need for production environment  on Azure as well? I know you might need 24GB for development environment but why on the earth you need 24GB production environment because how much you need to spend the money just to get it running?

Or somehow you get special discount for running D365FO on Azure environment?

Ok thanks for clarifying. Whenever I need to test the performance for web apps, I usually go to the the overview pages for main objects(could be users, projects, jobs...etc) and do some updates on each page and see all the pages can come back within 3 seconds. However most of pages it doesn't come back within 3 seconds so this is my worry. I am not sure if it is normal for ax application not display the result in 3 seconds or this is only happening because we are developping on VM?

    Thanks Sukrut,

I am just talking about the production environment today. I know we might need more ram for development purpose but I assume we don't need as much RAM for production environment.
