Greetings,

I am trying to set up Sales Enterprise. The Microsoft grant has given us five free seats. Settings > About says 2021 release wave 1 enabled, version 1710 (9.2.21051.130) online.

I'm getting error messages if I try to do anything. For example, if I go into Sales Hub and click Settings > Advanced Settings > Security > Users the error message is:

"You do not have prvReadmsdyn_personasecurityrolemapping permission to access Persona Security Role Mapping records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator for help."

The Dynamics administrator is myself. I've tried doing a web search, but all of the articles are about a user getting this error message, not an administrator.

How do I go about figuring this out?

I ran the user diagnostics and it didn't detect any problems. I've uploaded the results to OneDrive.

What other troubleshooting steps can I take?

Thanks,
Shane.

Maybe you can open the ticket with Microsoft and ask for support.

    Hey Shane!

I think you've created a Trial instance.  Trial instances behave in a slightly different way, specially related to User synchronization.  You should be able to login to your instance.  Please note that you should also be able to see a "default " instance on PowerPlatformAdmin Center.  This default instance is a special type of instance and won't allow to install Dynamics.  ON your trial, Dynamics Sales is already installed as well as other applications (Customer Service and field Service)

I'm sorry, I'm completely new. How do I open a ticket?

I apologize for the delay in responding.

When I got the full license the first thing I did was went into the user list and removed the trial license. I didn't know that I was going into the trial because the license for it was removed.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
