I was going through a GL export from MS dynamics GP and wanted to understand what does the TrxDate and PostDate means.
In my understanding I thing Post date is date on which the entry was entered into the systems and TrxDate is the date on which it will reflect on the GL. am I understanding it correctly? or its the other ways around?
Also can post date be before the TrxDate?
Also can I see who entered the entry to the system on the GP GL? is it the lastUser column?
Posting Date is when the transaction shows on the GL.
Transaction Date is the date of the transaction.
Tax Date is when the transaction shows in tax reports.
They usually all the same, but don't have to be.
