I have a question, to which I fear the solution is "by design behaviour - no alternatives".
Changing a lookup value in a form in 9.0 version is really more difficult (than in 2015 version, the one I really used before, but also in 8.2 is like in 2015 imho) and requires a great number of clicks, that are not obvious! In fact, if a lookup is filled in, clicking also in the white space will open the record linked in the lookup (terrible!).
So, the only way is:
- click on the magnifying glass icon
- (clicking backspace or del key will have no effect at this point (terrible!))
- then or click outside the lookup or go leftward with the left arrow key on the keyboard
- then delete all the SINGLE digits with backspace key (terrible!)
- and then only finally type the new value.
This procedure is very cumbersome, and it is hard to explain to our customers why it is in this way, that's probably the worst way possible to do it.
So, I ask if someone knows a simpler way that I could have completely missed (it can be, and I really hope it :) ) to perform this operation, or at least an explanation of the reason of this awful, cumbersome and messy user experience.
Thank you in advance!
