Dynamics 365 App for Outlook Home Page View Issue

Posted on by 10

8321.2019_2D00_07_2D00_24_5F00_19_2D00_14_2D00_37.jpgHello,

We're seeing an issue in different Dynamics instances where the Next Activity view pane is showing an error, see right.

We see this error for two different instances and different versions of Outlook (Windows 10 + Office 365 and OSX).

The error appears for both Contacts without Account (as shown) and Contacts with an Account.

Thanks.

    Hi partner,

It looks like the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form is fine.

Don't care about this error message, it will also appear in my environment.

The reason for this error is that the Number of Rows of the sub-grids is empty.

Then we need to check if the views of these sub-grids are intact.

There are four sub-grids on the form, and they correspond to four views:

You need to check if the actual names of the four views are exactly the same as their names in the sub-grids.

If you open these views in D365, can they be used normally?

Focus on the Recent Opportunities For Interaction Centric Form and My Active Cases, as they can be customized.

Error reads 'Enter a value from 2 through 250.'

    Doesn't specify a field.

    Lu,

Yes, Contact entity form is active and form layout looks the same as your screen shot.  On double-clicking the Next Activity field, when opening the properties I see the error message in the screen grab,

    Hi partner,

    Please check this first:

Go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System, Entity > Contact > Forms, is there an App for Outlook Contact Quick View? Is it active?

If you edit it, is its layout the same as in this screenshot?
