Web Services Excel multiple tables

Hello,

I created a new Query for Object ID 261 (GL Entries). I added the table in excel using the Excel Add-in and I can see the data for that table. However I am trying to add an additional table DimensionSetEntries - DimensionSetEntries so I can pull the dimension description into excel. I receive this message:

Unable to add new data as data already exists at this location

Is it possible to pull from multiple tables?

Thanks!

This forum is for "Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Forum", so you probably want to ask your question in the Business Central related forum...

This is for Dynamics 365 Business Central. When I use the excel add-in it doesn't let me add additional entities.

Let me clarify first, are we talking about AX or D365 ? For D365 you can add additional entities not tables and you don't need to install VS it is already installed on VM that hosts application.

If you asked about AX then it's a wrong forum.

Thanks for the info. I will need to install visual studio and then attempt this. In the meantime, is it possible to add additional entities/tables in the excel add-in? I've ran into this a few times before and would be helpful.

    Hi Juliet Constantino,

You dont need to add another entitiy, instead you(or your developer) need to do a small change and you will get dimensions in all excel templates, please refer for details https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/dev-itpro/financial/dimensions-overview
