Hi all,

I have a question regarding the capabilities of the PROJECT app in dynamics 365, because I have found out that I can use the same functionalities that are in Project Operations too, is there a difference or do you know any documentation regarding this, my customer needs to track time entries, resources and projects but doesn't have enough licenses to deploy project operations so we are looking for another options, please, if you have any suggestion feel free to write it.

The only license I have are the Project Plan 5 and Dynamics 365 sales enterprise edition. And my role is System administrator

Hello Nicolas Payan,

in general the following conclusion about Project for the web and Dynamics 365 Project Operations counts: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations has in fact the functions and features from Project for the Web and much more. As I'm not really aware with Project (I guess the correct wording is Project for the web) you can have a look into the specific Microsoft Documentation for more information.

As mentioned, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations has much more features and functions and is a whole application for

- Project Sales

- Project Management

with the possibility to initiate Projects, execute Projects and analyze Projects until the project close. The application can be used standalone or integrated in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations requires own licenses.
