Hello everyone ;

I'm trying to close 2023 definitively and I'm getting this strange error message: "The previous fiscal year that ends with the date 31/12/2022 is not closed." Knowing that 2021 and 2022 are already permanently closed :

As you can see in the screenshots, there is no significant reason for the error message, which is blocking us from completing the permanent closure for 2023 :

It's a very critical issue for our business process and we need to fix it asap.

Please could anyone help us with some advice.

Hi,

1. Try running consistency check for General Ledger.

2. Check if there are any un posted journals in that year. If yes, post or delete that journals and then try to close 2023.

Hi ,
Have you run this process for the year 2022? According to the warning have you run year end closing for 2022.
In addition to that please control the fiscal year close setup on "General ledger parameters":

Hello Eeveryone ;

This is our Fiscal year close setup in our GL parametres :

For 2021 and 2022 we don't have any kind of transaction, the Legal entity starts the activity in 2023 and we want to keep a shared fiscal calendar between all the Legal entities starting from 2021.

This function can set fiscal periods to "Permanently closed," which displays a status of "Year closed" for all periods in the fiscal year (Select this option to display a status of Year closed for all periods for the fiscal year that is being closed.). It's recommended to set the period to "On hold" instead of "Permanently closed" to keep the option of reopening the period if necessary. Once a period is set to "Permanently closed," it is not straightforward to change the status back. Therefore it is recommended i some scenarios to deactivate this function.
