DMF Import - Semi colon for multiple entries

Hello all,
 
When we use DMF import, it seems we can use semi colon to import multiple entries. Is there any documentation about this?

    The main functionality of DMF is to import multiple data at once.
    You need to download the template of the entity via export, populate row by row (no semi-colon) required.

    How do you mean exactly, as a delimiter? Could you give an example of what you are trying to achieve?

    In AX 2012 there was an option called Multiple value separator that could be enabled on the source format. This is now defaulted to the semicolon character in Dynamics 365. You can use this for a few selected fields, like address books and address purposes. In the user interface, these fields are supported with a multi-select lookup experience.
