Adding a return to email link (<href = mailto) to a button or linked text in a marketing email

Hi Friends,

So I am creating a campaign and I want to include a "return to" email button or link at the end of the message (ideally a button). I have tried a simple mail:to, {{mailto:}}, and even hard coded it with an href, but upon testing it will just open a browser window, or won't do anything at all.

Surely we cannot be the first to want to do something like this. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Courtney

I've had a similar problem trying to add a mailto link to an image in a D365 marketing email. I can input the mailto url into the field or code, but as soon as I click any other fields it adds "https://" to my mailto link. This is probably why you're getting a browser window. You can create a button or, I believe, a hyperlink without having this happen, even though it's a similar input field.

Would love a fix for this annoyance...

Not in a standard outlook email, I am creating a marketing email campaign through Microsoft Dynamics

    Hi cgTEL512,

I tested this and it can work fine.

I've tried this, but every time you click the link in a test, it opens an empty browser and not a reply email.
