We have a journal batch that we're unable to edit or delete as its showing as being 'In use', but without a user name in the 'In use by' column.
On checking the Blocking tab it has 'Locked by system' set to 'Yes', which we're unable to change.
Does anyone know how to remove the locked by system setting in D365 for Finance and Operations?
I've seen Community solutions for Dynamics AX, but they involve using AOT to change the setting in the table.

True. This was a much requested feature. It is available via the feature management for over a year now. There is also a similar one available for inventory journals. As you might notices, this question has been started before it was known that Microsoft would add this feature.
Hello André and Chris, I believe that now (since Release 10.0.14, to be more precise), Microsoft added this feature for the System Admin to enable unlocking journals.
To enable it, go to System Administration/ Feature Management. Select the tab "All" and filter the table by column "Feature Name" is exactly "Journal unlock button. On the right hand side click on "Enable Now".
Once this is enable you'll start seeing the Unlock button on ALL Journal Types.

This thread was for journal 'in use' issue, so this has been fixed by raising a product ticket and Microsoft team has fixed the issue by Script.
So, if you are facing another issue for duplicate voucher issue, kindly create a new post and all can focus on that.

Go to Journal> Header> Blocking Tab> mark unlock check box
This will unlock the journal. Review and Post.
