Receipt margin

A purchase order is scheduled for receive on 28.01.2015.  Currently the ATP info shows this date as a available date. But normally is the receipt not directly availabe for delivery on the receipt date.  I am searching for a margin setting. So I can setup a margin of 1 day between receiving and delivery.

ATP +issue margin is no option because then you have always a margin and not only in case of receipts.

    Hi Bilal,

receipt margin on coverage group doesn't effect the ATP dates.

(Delivery date(PO line) + Receipt margin(unknown) = Available ATP date

    Hi BeWa,

I was wondering if you managed to find a solution for this? I have the same problem and was hoping you found a way to solve this....

    Thanks in advance

    Hi BeWa,

I agree with Bilal, I believe this is the receipt margin

The receipt margin is a safety margin that is added to the requirement date of the receipt during master scheduling. The margin is expressed in days.

For example, if the receipt margin is set to 4 days, and a purchase order line is scheduled for receipt on May 15, master scheduling calculates the adjusted receipt date as May 19.

Ensure the coverage group with the receipt margin of 1 is associated with the item (released product, plan tab, coverage group)

    Let me know

    Kind regards

Problem is that when you run ATP (+issue margin) on the sales order, it's not taken into account the receipt margin. So it will tell you that the items are available for sales on the delivery date of the purchase order.

The master planning does create a future message to postpone the sales order with the number of days in the receipt margin to correct this. But you don't want to correct every sales order.

Did you ever find a solution? I have the same issues in D365.
