Routecase Field on entity cases

The routecase field stays on false even when I have a auto route rule set to rout cases to a default queue when created.
Insight in this issue is highly appreciated If someone knows more about this field and what triggers this to be actually set on value 'yes' when creating cases.

I know that the default value of this field is set on yes in the customization's and you cannot change this to false.

this field will be set on yes if the case is routed to a queue/team

this field will be set on false if the case is not assigned/routed/ to a team/qeueu
