Microsoft USD - Single Sign On Implementation

I have a requirement where I need to use the same credentials user is logged in with in CRM or the credentials they entered while opening Unified Service Desk and clicking on Change Credentials option.

With current implementation whenever USD opens it asks for credentials to access CRM pages. So is there a way where USD will not ask for credentials at all if the user is logged in CRM or maybe USD can utilize the USD Client application credentials?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Faran,

What is the  USD version of your current implementation?

Latest release of Unified Service Desk (v 4.1.1.1397 ) implements Single Sign On, and it seems to cover your requirement. See details in Microsoft documentation below.

Hi, though my version is 4.1 but the issue is that i am not using chrome process as my configuration and even though if i use the chrome configuration even then there would be atleast one sign on dialog appear just when usd starts.

Also, if I use chrome process my other configurations get effected maybe because I am using CRM 8.2

    Hi Faran,

SSO feature is not supported for Dynamics 365 CE(on-premises), which I presume is your case, as your are working on CRM v8.2.

To get this feature working of out of the box you need to migrate your environment to CRM Online v9.1

I understand but is there any unsupported way to have it working for On Premise?

    Hi Farhan,

You have to enable integrated windows authentication (iwa) on ADFS and in your Internet Explorer making the first CRMPage hosted control load without  asking for credentials.

This is the only recommended way to achieve seamless experience while logging into USD.
