40I'm looking for a solution to provide better SharePoint Document Library fields (metadata) into a Dynamics form.
I'm using Dynamics 365 v9 Online and SharePoint Online, both under the same Office 365 tenant.
The native Server side SharePoint integration provides limited functionality, for example the SharePoint Document fields are only available in the Associated Documents pane, and this data is not available to be added to a Subgrid or queried in Advanced Find. Also I'd like to be able to create charts with document data (grouped by metadata), so I really need the SharePoint data more native in Dynamics.
Would it be possible to create a Virtual Entity which returns the SharePoint Library Document fields, and associate this to the Dynamics entity?
If this design could work it would be a powerful technique for working with other types of SharePoint List natively in Dynamics.
