Hi,

I am adding some custom configuration to Marketing and I want to make sure that it doesn't get overwritten when Microsoft updates the app for future updates. When I add custom fields/entities to an unmanaged solution, does that mean that additional configuration won't be overwritten after future releases?

Hi pdr469,

Update or future release to Dynamics 365 for Marketing could be regarded as update to system solutions, because Dynamics 365 for Marketing is implemented using several different solutions.

According to solution layer diagram, the system solution is at bottom, that is, system solution won't overwrite unmanaged solution.
