Creating a project in F&O from external source

Hi

We have a requirement to automate the creation of projects in F&O. We have a 3rd party system developed in asp.net which is our primary source for creating projects. Ideally we would like when a project is created that it is simultaneously created in F&O with the same project number we have generated in our own system.

From what i have been reading there seems to be a few possible approaches, data management, data, custom service. However I unsure which is the best approach for this scenario.

Start downloading this solution from Microsoft, you'll see multiple code examples for each different way to integrate with Dynamics 365 FO, I would recommend you using standard entities, this way you won't have to develop anything in Dynamics, as long as you don't have customizations
