What about the W1 "locasization-less" release date ?
We (my company) installed Business Central in July of 2008. We have offices in the US and Mexico. We were told by our partner that the international functionality would be available in the fall with the new release of Business Central. We did not understand it would it would be a separate product. Now we are told we need to upgrade to the International product on our dime. We are confused and frustrated. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Following on from this, looking to understand how, if available you would set the W1 localisation when you provision the Business Central tenant?
Hi All,
According to the below image from the Inspire Event, D365 business Central was suppose to Release this July 2018. Do we have a confirm Release date?
Hi Robert,
Will you please share the link about it.
hi Ivan,
I read the document, a question: the W1 will be however released (in next future) or only for OnDemand requests ?
Thanks
Is Business Central W1 version available now?
As it is written on the slide, additional information will be available on Inspire.
Also I have sessions on Directions NA and EMEA on the topic, so stay tuned :-)
Hi Ivan,
You are talking about this slide / announcement from Directions ASIA, correct? I think many of us didn't catch the specific context that you've just provided, and since we weren't planning on build W1 IP, we didn't look into the specific article you've linked to.
I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to make sure this point is stressed on and driven home at future partner events (Directions Webinar, Directions North America, Directions EMEA, etc.), and maybe even made clearer in the Ready To Go content as it is own document.
Thanks!
Thanks Ivan, my error then.
No, not correct, nor planned for July!
W1 was never announced to be available. Announcement at Directions ASIA was that it will be available on demand, with "on demand" meaning having a partner with localization published on AppSource and able to support customers in countries where Microsoft does not provide localization.
You can read about this in detail here:

The question I have for Christophe is what is the scenario for which you need W1?
