Can someone please advise how or if, I can get the "Internal Description" field from a work order service available to add to a custom invoice word template?
Did you have success with this, I hope there ar eplans to have this standard
I appreciate you responding. I had previously taken the steps you suggested. I am able to add the "internal description" during XML mapping in word template. However, when I "create" the word template in Dynamics the field is not populated.
Hi Lipp,
First, your invoice Entity must be have a N:1 (lookup) with Work Order. Before, you must generate a new custom word template:
1 .- In templates menu select create new template
2 .- Enable developer options in word
3.- Add your field in your word template
4.- Upload the word template in D365
You have more information about it here: community.dynamics.com/.../work-order-service-details-available-for-word-invoice-template
And you can download and edit the templates with this plugin of XrmToolbox: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/plugins/MsCrmTools.DocumentTemplatesMover/
I hope it helps you
