Hi Experts

In AX 2012 r3,

I have overridded insert method of the GeneralJournalEntry table and kept the break point. during Purchase order invoice posting records are created in the GeneralJournalEntry table but breakpoint is not hitting. When I am posting payment journal break point is worked. So i wanted to check voucher transactions during PO invoice posting. can anyone help me how can check that in which class i can put break point and check ?

Thank you in advance

Guru

Many posting-related code are running in IL. You have to use Visual Studio attached to the AX AOS process in order to hit breakpoints in managed code. Did you do that, or just used AX client debugger?

Also I would suggest using aosValidateInsert instead, since that is being called even in case of a doInsert, or any other way of generating a record in a table.

Finally, have a look at this topic considering postings in general:

You can uncheck 'Execute code in CIL' check box from tools- Options for testing.

Make sure you mark my answer as well, since that is what the issue was in the first place - you tried to debug managed code in AX debugger, thus breakpoints were not being hit. Thank you
