Posted on by 16

In NAV-2009 )

In Sales Order when I click on "Post and Print" then it will give me 3 options and one of them is "Ship and Invoice" and I click that.

After that it will start processing the shipment (You can see in the Attached Picture) and the it will give me an Error Related to Service Management and it's primary key. How to fix this error.

From your screenshot, this is NAV2009, so it is possible that it is a problem with Microsoft standards. However, NAV2009 has been out of support for almost five years. . . .
Now there is no other way except debugging the code or directly inserting data (Primary key '').

    Thanks.

Hi YUN ZHU & gdrenteria, Thanks for your Response

My Question is that there is no Customization or Integration done on this Company. Then why there is an error coming related to development in which I have to check the code??

Is there any functional method to resolve this. I am a Functional Consultant and it's difficult for me to solve this by myself?

    Thank You in Advance

Hi, Please try opening this page first, as I mentioned below, when you open the setup page, the value of the empty key is automatically inserted.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Matters needing attention when creating a new setup page

If you have modified the standard code and this part does not work correctly, you can also insert one manually.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi
Have you been able to debug the error to identify the source of the problem? Could it be some customization?

    I had no such problems.

If you are not a developer/technical employee, then you can ask your collegues/partners to debugg that error.
It is probably some development issue, so I cannot help you anymore. It is not a standard behavior.

We can not enter anything in Primary Key Field, error will pop up

    ERROR
You must not specify Primary Key in Service Management. Setup primary Key = '1'

I try to enter "Test" and "1", these 2, but error are same in this case

Use a test environment and enter value 'TEST'.

    Hi,

Exactly this is what it looks like in my NAV rightnow

Ok, recommend what value should I enter
  • Service Management Setup Primary Key '' does not Exists
    Hello,

I would enter some value in the Service management setup in any case, just to be sure that it is not an issue.

The Service Management module is not included with the Essential license. The Service Management functionality falls under the Advanced Management licensing option, which is a higher tier compared to the Essential license.

You wouldn't be able to see this module at all if you have an essential license.

Also, it can be due to the permissions granted. Check your permissions too.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
