Hi,

Do we have the only option to use XDS for record level security in Finance application? Apart from XDS can we use any other method to implement complex filter criteria for record level security?

XDS is the only option for those type of requirements.

Hi Talent,

The legacy Record Level Security (RLS) was already deprecated as part of the AX2012 release. You can read about this in the documentation: Deprecated: Record-level security | Microsoft Docs.

So, indeed eXtensible Data Security (XDS) is the only supported option. You can also create customizations to limit data on forms or reports, but that is then not enforced by the application for all user queries.
