Hi,
How do I keep track of those Contacts that have access to the Portal, that is, have a user login?
Is there any indicator in the Contacts page for example?
Also how can I go about resetting a user's password?
Many thanks
Steve
Hi Steve,
(1)Indicator in the Contacts page:
Go Portal Management > Contacts > navigate to 'Portal Contact' form and 'web Authentication' tab, 'Login Enabled' is checked.
(2)Resetting Password:
https://softchief.com/2021/01/03/how-to-change-password-for-a-portal-user-in-dynamics-365/
Login to Dynamics 365 App-Portal Management and click on Top right Task Flow Icon to select “Change Password for Portal users”
Then select one contact you want to change password.
Or open the contact you need, then click 'Change Password' button to fill new password directly.
Thanks Leah,
Once again, very helpful. spot on with your response.
To track portal users, there is a custom field named Login Enabled (adx_identity_logonenabled), if this is true and has a user name (adx_identity_username) then it is the portal user. Based on these two fields you can identify if the contact is a portal user or not, you can create a separate view for portal users for a contact entity.
Add filters on Login Enabled & Portal User fields for a view.
You can reset password for portal users from CRM same as steps provided by .
I hope it helps,Thanks. Please mark as verified if the answer is helpful. Welcome to join hot discussions in Dynamics 365.
