Hi,

I have one instance which has 15 legal entities, not i'm suppose to extract only 6 entities from these and create a new instance with the extracted 5 entities, how can this be achieved?

Have a look at the proposed approach above with cloning the DB and removing not needed entity transactions/legal entities.

Make sure it is thoroughly tested, I am not sure how reliable the transaction deletion tool is, especially if you have data shared between company accounts.

My opinion is that your requirement is not a good idea to be done, you might be better off to just set up those entities in a fresh instance from scratch and transfer setup/master data with DIXF tool, and just post the opening balances.

Hello Vilmos, I want to move entities with transactions along with customization and configurations.

RE: AX2012 R3 Export only selected entities

Are you talking about setup only for those legal entities, or these are actually operating companies in Production with transactions already which you would like to split?

Your best bet could be to clone the database, and delete the transactions and legal entities which you do not need in each of the two data DBs.

This is not a reliable or supported way though, please test it carefully first and do a proper UAT going through all business functionality after the split.
