Improving Line Identification for Split Deliveries in Sales Orders

Dear Community Group,

When using the Delivery function on Sales Order lines to split deliveries into different shipments, our users often encounter difficulty in identifying the original line after splitting.

For instance, let's take Item FG0010 with item number 65 on Line 0. If I split it into 3 lines:

Line 1: FG0010 x 20
Line 2: FG0010 x 30
Line 3: FG0010 x 15

Could we implement a numbering system like this:

Item FG0010 item 65 Line 1
Line 1.1: FG0010 x 20
Line 1.2: FG0010 x 30
Line 1.3: FG0010 x 15

This would help our users distinguish between parent and child lines more easily when splitting one item into multiple lines.

I have the same question (0)
