Barcode printer changed

Hi All,

My barcode printer model is changed.

We were using TSC TDP-225 model, because of its unavailability, we bough TSC TTP-245c.

Now, barcode is not getting printed. Test print works fine.

And, NAV report codes, it is using 'APTools'.PrintHelper.PrintProductLabel automation variable to print.

Is it possible to make the new printer work by making any little changes in the codes?

Regards,

Abdul.

Have you installed the correct new printer driver, and de-installed the old one? What exactly happens when you send the label to the printer - any error messages?

What you mean Test Print works ? and barcode not getting printed ? Usually for these kind of scenarios the driver is the issue make sure you install the drivers properly.

    Hi Suresh/Alexander.

Driver installed perfect, test print from the devices and printer works fine. Barcode from NAV is not getting printed.

No error messages when we try from NAV. The .prn file gets saved in one folder, then the windows printer selection dialog box appears automatically, I select the printer TSC-TTP245c(its selected as default) from the list, then click on OK.

No progress after that. No error message, no queue in the spooler,, nothing.

    Regards,

    Abdul,

Can your NAV print out any other text report, using this printer? It might be issues with the font, used for the barcode. Again, what exactly driver are you using for this printer? Is it network printer or is it connected directly?

    Hi Alexander,

Nav cannot print anything to this printer. But, this is not issue with font, because NAV printed the same barcode in our old printer model (TSC-TDP225).

This local printer, redirected through Remote desktop connection. The printer is connected to my pc, and I am connecting NAV server system through remote desktop using mu pc and working from NAV server.

Can you, for troubleshooting purposes, install NAV client on your local PC, connect to the database and try to print to this printer from NAV client that you run on your PC? If it will print, then the issue is in remote desktop connectivity. If you still will not be able to print, then there is something with printer driver or report font or both.

    Hi Alexander,

    Thank you so much.

I have shared the printer from my pc, and connected from the server. Now it is working.

    Your Ideas helped.

    Thanks again.

    Abdul.
