How to setup start date and end date in Dynamics CRM 2016 on-prem SSRS report.

Posted on by 353

Using SSRS report in my CRM system report, how to set up that: when the user inputs the start date and end date the report will list all the record in this period?

Much appreciated any suggestions!

    Hi Datadvancer,

    1. You will need to download the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Report Authoring Extension to to design and preview FetchXML based reports in SQL Server Data Tools, but you do not require it to build SQL reports.
    2. You can choose the report display area from the report settings in Dynamics CRM.

    Thanks Adrian.

Now I have two more questions enaccount.

    1. When I set up the data source, there are no "Dynamics CRM Server/Dynamics CRM Fetch". I'd like to use T-SQL based query to build report. Do I also need to download Report Authorization Extension? Or some reason I was not connecting the my CRM instance with VS?

    2. If I want to show the Report button on the crm Sitmap, How to do that?

    Thanks.
