purchase order receiving problem

Posted on by 114

After receiving the purchase order of the project, no inventory will be produced.I know that project orders are usually included in the project cost.

Traded raw materials need to be purchased through the project and then sold

Can I set the reserved inventory? How to set up?

Hi ,Thank you for your reply,We now pass the purchase requisition -> purchase order -> sales order, which is all associated with ProjectId. When we receive the purchase order, a Transaction record will be generated with Issue status 'Deducted' and type 'Transaction', which cannot be sold through the sales order because there is no inventory

Hello ,thank you for your follow-up,at present, we cannot deal with this problem, we can only cancel the project association, looking forward to a better solution.

    Hi Danzel Zuo,

You want to purchase RM through project and sold where? Do you mean consumed in the same project?

I didnt understand what exactly you mean by reserved inventory. Can you please clarify that. Usually inventory reservation is done against Sales order so that that inventory cannot be withdrawn by any other order.  For that purpose we have item requirement in projects that will will be useful when the purpose is not consume items in the project immediately, and rather reserve them in the inventory and them consume them partially when needed.

    Hello Danzel Zuo,
After receiving the purchase order of the project, no inventory will be produced
What you mentioned is right because the items that you purchase are directly taken out of your inventory and posted as project costs.

If you need to put the items in inventory then create a purchase order that is not related to a project.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
