Management Reporter Financial Dimensions Column

I am trying to generate a P&L report that allows it to show an Inception to-date column. I work with contracts that where the Period of Performance crosses multiple fiscal years. How would I best format the Financial Dimensions Financial-Dimension-Column.PNGColumn Specifically as it pertains to the Fiscal Year,Period  and periods covered cells.  Can it be done in one column?

The best way would be to have one column that covered the prior year and another column for this year.  You could then make them non-printing and add them together.

You could try using BASE : BASE-#.  You'd replace the # with the number of periods you wanted to go back.  If I did BASE : BASE-13, I'd get everything from the last 13 periods.  If the base period in the report is 9, this would include everything from period 9 and back 13 periods (period 9 this year to period 8 last year).  I have seen some problems with this, especially if the prior year is closed or the periods are marked as closed.
