Roll Up Activities from Opportunity to Proposal (Quote)

Hello CRM Experts,

I'm writing to you with the following request for help.

As the title says, I'm trying to pull up some activities that are showing on Opportunity, but not showing on the Proposal.

For example, I have this Opportunity and Proposal, but the Opportunity has one more activity that is missing from Proposal.

This activity is a Phone Call entity and it's regarding is pointing to a lead.

Is there a way to pull up some activities that are not being rolled up to Proposal, and what approach should I take, please?

Here I'm asking you for your patience as I'm a bit new to CRM, but keen to learn it. :)

I'm thinking of making a plugin to run on create/update of a Proposal, to queryby the Opportunity ref down to Lead and its tasks and update the regarding object on that Task/Activity to the Proposal's. Does this seem like a legit solution?

You can only roll up the related child activities to the parent entity, but here it looks like you are trying to roll up the parent activities to the child entity. In your scenario, you are trying to roll up activities associated with Opportunity (parent entity) to Proposal/Quote (child entity).

Through OOB functionality, you can view all the activities from the Proposal/Quote (child entity) on the Opportunity (parent entity) with the help of “Opportunity” Associated View rollup activities (as highlighted below)but not vice versa.

you can see all the Quote activities in the corresponding Opportunity record through the above-associated view. Because Quote is the child of the Opportunity.
If you explicitly want parent entity activities to be copied/rollup to the child entity (i.e. Opportunity activities to Proposal/Quote) then you need to develop some custom logic like Plugin, Power Automate, etc. which will copy the activities from the parent entity to the child entity. Just wanted to mention you can take the help of any flag field which will work as an indicator to identify which activities are copied from the parent and which are created manually directly on the child entity record.
