I’m back with another interesting issue to talk about. This can occur if the version of the Report Viewer Redistributable gets updated past the 2008 version or if the Office Access Database Engine gets updated beyond the 2007 version. There haven’t been many changes to Integration Manager in the past few years, so it still relies on these two specific versions to function.



We do have some documentation on this too; however, the links are broken and there can be a few more steps to resolve it.

Starting with IM for GP2010, we no longer use Management Reporter to view the logs. Instead, we now use Microsoft Office Components and Report Viewer.


Here are the steps and links to resolve this one.


  1. Manually uninstall the 'Office Access Database Engine 2007' and 'Report Viewer Redistributable 2008' applications from the server that Integration Manager is installed onto, if they even exist.
  2. Download and install the Report Viewer 2008 application via this link:
    1. Download Report Viewer Redistributable 2008 Service Pack 1 GDIPLUS.DLL Security Update from Official Microsoft Download Center
    2. It should return that 'Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2008 (KB971119) has been successfully installed.'
  3. Then, use the following link to download and install the '2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components':

  4. Launch Integration Manager again and click on View > Integration Log to see if the error now looks to be resolved, or the same error occurs.
