GP2013 R2 > GP2016 Upgrade Error. Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 12.0.2104

And I only get this on product zero

The upgrade path to GP2016 stated 20.00.1826 or better ..

Well 2104 is better than 1826

    Thanks for posting which service pack you used to upgrade from 12.00.2230.  Applying MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4073327-ENU worked for me as well!

    Samantha, That worked. Strange, but I did not see this latest sp for GP 2016 earlier when I looked. Most Current is MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4073327-ENU. Thanks. Case Closed.

    I had the same issue. Make sure you install the most up-to-date service pack on the older version along with the updated service pack on GP 2016. What I found was some of the newer service packs were not compatible and the older version needed the most up-to-date service pack. This fixed it for when I had the same issue.

    I am still encountering this issue on an upgrade from 12.00.2230 to 16.00.0620. I downloaded and installed GP16-KB3164595-ENU.msp (the latest I believe). Yet I am still getting the Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 12.00.2230 error when I run utilities. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!  I was having trouble with the version 14.00.0893 and applying the MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB3164595-ENU.msp to my 2016 install was able to them update the tables.  Thanks for the assist.

    Check Customer Source for the information, the documentation should be under “Upgrade Hot Topics”.

    Don't know why either of us could not find that patch. My system is up.

    The patch worked perfect ... all databases are now being upgraded from GP2013 R2 20.00.2014 to GP2016

    No need to answer that .... it downloaded as MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB3164595-ENU.msp

    I'm still just going to ensure that we have a current snapshot of the GP2016 VM prior ... but much appreciated
