I have installed NAV 2018, now I wanted to install Nav 2017 to be able to access a 2017 database. But I get the following error after the installation is complete.
"The service 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server [DynamicsNAV100]' (MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer$DynamicsNAV100) failed to start. This can be caused by one of several issues. For example, the password for the account that runs the service may be incorrect, or there could be a conflict in port sharing for the port settings for the service, or you have specified that the port for the server should be opened in the Windows firewall even though the Windows firewall is not enabled on the computer. For more information, see the event viewer."
The 'Dynamics NAV 2017 Administration Shell' does not install.
In the Services 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV server [DynamicsNAV100]' is not present and I get an error in the Administration that 'The Microsoft Dynamics NAV server is not installed on this computer. You can connect to a remote computer by invoking the "connect to another computer" action.'
How do I go about this.
This could be because the same port is used for running NAV 2017, can you open NAV administration tool, if not change the port in the config file and restart the service using powershell.
Thanks, the ports were shared. Changed them working fine.
