In sales Order i have the external Doc No as mandatory field , but the customer need this filed not to be mandatory
how i make the filed not mandatory ?
Samer Baskhayroun, if you go to "Sales & Receivable Setup", you can choose to make ext. doc. mandatory or not by checking/unchecking the box. It is on the first, "General", FastTab, most likely mid-box on the left. Hope this helps.
thanks a lot , that solve the issue
One more question how can i make the Requested Delivery Date Mandatory ?
Go to the Development client and change the attributes on the field:
Find the object
Identify the field
Change the "ShowMandatory" attribute to YES.
The ShowMandatory property only mark the field on the page with a red asterisk and does not enforce any validation.
You still need to do dev to force the user to fill it in.
This is true. If you need the actual validation, then do what Teddy H notes above.
make sure when to check Requested Delivery Date, write code like TESTFIELD(Requested Delivery Date)
