When trying to use scale that is a part of the eShip module we are receiving this error message. The value of COPYSTR parameter 3 is outside of the permitted range. The current vaule is: -1. The permitted range is: from 0 to 2,147,483,647. How can I fix it
Are you a SUPER? Can you get to the Development Client? Do you know in which table this value resides? If you answered YES to all questions then go to the Development client, Run the object, find the field and change the value.
I am a SUPER, but I don't think I can get to the Development Client or at least I never have before. I can get with one of our developers to help me with this matter. Thank you so much for your suggestion and help.
Absolutely! That's what the community is here for! Seriously, if you know what the value should be, then you can just run the object and change it. DO NOT make any changes in SQL.... It becomes a big hullabalu to kick people off and restart services......... not worth it.
You need to ask the developer to debug the issue and ask him to check which process or code is causing the issue, I believe there is a bug in the code, modifying the data is not a permanent solution. You need to find the root cause of it.
