Hi everyone , I'm relatively new to NAVISION world , I have a question i will be very grateful if someone can help me.
I have to create an error message that block a user when he tries to validate an sales invoice with 0 amount.
I'm sure I will be use an IF with Error msg but I don't know where I will put that is on a code unit (sales post 80) ?
thanks for your help.
You would need to figure out which procedure you are calling in the codeunit like OnAfterCheckSalesDoc, then you would have to put an IF Statement that checks the value of the amount field in that procedure. Something along the lines of
SalesHeader.SetRange("No.", "Your Document No")
Error('The Amount of the relate order "No.":=' +SalesHeader."No."+' cannot be 0.')
If this helps you please mark the answer as helpful.
Dear Chaz ,
Thanks for your help , I'm searching for the procedure where I can put the code on I didn't find it yet.
Can you help me with that.
Thanks for your answer.
You would have to identify what trigger/event would be what initiated the process/notification. This is specific to your business process.
Maybe on modify of release status field if this is going on a sales order. If it’s on an invoice, then you would have to possible add this into the posting code to check this first and error out.
I suggest you to create a function on your own codeunit(like 50000) and call a subscriber for codeunit 90 Purch.-Post, and event is OnBeforePostPurchaseDoc(VAR PurchaseHeader : Record "Purchase Header"). And impelement that function of Chaz suggested, than it runs each time somebody try to post the order.
