I have an accounts schedule that has a layout of current month and YTD however, I can't get the YTD to work.
I thought that having year to date in the column type would be enough but should there be a formula somewhere? I have researched this and tried a number of things but still can't get it to work. I am using NAV 2009 and do not have the comparison period formula column.
Can someone help please?
Thank you for posting on the Forum.
Do you have Accounting Periods established? That would be the first setup I would want to confirm.
Once a date range is entered, the YTD should automatically calculate.
Yes I do. It pulls back the correct number for the month but not for YTD so I assume I have to add something into a formula on the column layout template
I would make sure that the Column for Year to Date doesn't have any filters for Dimension and Dimension Value and is correctly calculating off of the Ledger instead of Budget Ledger, for example.
Thank you for your reply (again).
I am using an analysis view with the account schedule and column layout as I only want gross profit for a certain criteria of products.
I think I know what the issue may be but can you confirm if I'm correct - my analysis view card doesn't have a starting date so is this the issue?
I am not totally sure. It is strange that current month works but YTD does not. You can certianly try to set a Starting Date and re-Update the Analysis View. If you have development access, you can run Table 365 - Analysis View Entry and filter to the Analysis View to review the built records. It definitely seems to be that entries are filtered out.
thanks again for responding. I have updated the analysis view back to the start of the financial year and it now works. It also resolves another report I had written so all good.
