Please pardon our dust!
In our never-ending quest to improve the community and help the D365 Community members get answers faster, we are consolidating the number of forums on the site.
There are nearly 40 different forums on the site today. This can make it a challenge to determine the right place to post your question or find a topic to participate in. And as a result, we have seen a small percentage of forums that contain the majority of posts (since they are easy to select), while the remaining activity is spread thinly across the other forums.
By reducing that number, we hope to bring our experts and our help-seekers closer together!
What is happening?
We are reducing the number of forums on the site from nearly 40 to 6.
When is this happening?
Monday, Jan 22nd. (Forum Structure Changes Are On Hold) There will be a communication on that day when the changes begin.
Does this mean my posts are going away?
No, no posts will be removed during this update. Posts from the forums that are being retired will be migrated to the new forum structure and will remain accessible via bookmarks, browsing, and search.
Which forums will be affected?
The list of the forums that will be retired and where posts will be moving to is as follows:

What about my subscriptions?
- Subscriptions to individual threads and comments are not changing.
- However, if you have subscribed to a forum that is being retired, you will need to subscribe to the new forum that replaces it to keep receiving notifications. You can do that today by subscribing to the forum listed in the Prior forum name column of the previous table.
- Before we retire a forum, we will also post a new thread there letting you know where the conversations will be moving to so you can update your subscriptions accordingly.
Anything else to be aware of?
There are two known issues that will be resolved in the near future:
- Forums navigation menu at the top of the page.
- When you select the Forums menu and view the list of forums for navigation, the retired forums will continue to be displayed. When you select one of the retired forums, you will be taken to that forum page where there will be messaging informing you where the new forum is located that replaces it.
- The retired forum options will be removed from this menu at a later date.
- Bookmarks to retired forums.
- Any bookmarks to the retired forums will continue to work and take you to the retired forum page.
- In the future, links to the retired forums will be redirected to the new forum that replaces it.
