When a customer tried to buy $100 of merchandise, the cashier rang his gift card, reducing the balance to $0, but the customer only had $10.
Is anybody know why the Gift card approves for the total amount instead of the available amount?
If i understand you correct, customer did a purchase worth $100 and tried to pay $10 from his gift card which had only $10 balance. The POS completed the transaction even though customer had paid only $10 out of $100 ? I hope you are referring to the gift card functionality within Dynamics and not an external gift card.
I have never came across something like that. Can you check the below ?
1. Pull the transaction to HQ and check how many payments are registered against the transaction ?
2. Check the history of gift card(assuming Gift card is maintained in D3635) to see what was the balance before and after the transaction?
