Getting an error: new model, specified on the project cannot be found. when opening a solution from TFS
Can you give us more details ?
I think you can get this error if some one created new model and forget to check in descriptor folder.
Would like to work in a multi user development environment, can you please share additional details.
What kind of additional details ? Is your issue solved?
code merge solution not loading
Please realize that we don't know anything about your custom models except of what you tell us. If the model shouldn't be used, the problem is in the project. If it should, you probably either didn't add it correctly to VSTS (don't forget the descriptor file) or you haven't downloaded it from VSTS.
If i forgot add the descriptor file to VSTS first time, can i reupload the file to VSTS？
Yes, it's no problem.
Thanks a lot!
I have same issue. so can u please help for how to download descriptor file from VSTS
In source control explorer, right click the Metadata folder and select Get latest. This will get you latest files (model descriptors and all AOT objects). After that you need to refresh models from the Dynamics 365 menu in Visual Studio.
Thanks for Your reply,
But in my local directory K:\AOSServices\PackagesLocalDirectory\MyCustomModel\
there is no folder like bin, Discriptor, WebContent, XppMetdata. my local directory is empty.
how to resolve this issue. please help me
Did you create the model on this machine?
Or did someone else create it on some other machine?
To me it seems that someone else created it on some other machine and did not add the model descriptor to source control. Therefore the file is not in the source control. You need to ask the developer to add the model descriptor file to source control.
You can't download the descriptor file from source control if it's not added there.
I have created model in same machine but all those folder not found
Nikita, you're already discussion the same thing in another thread. Let's keep it a single place, because merely repeating the same things twice doesn't add any value and you seem to have a different problem than what this thread was about.
