I want to integrate Project Server 2013 with Dynamics AX 2012 R2. After installing Microsoft project server 2013, When I try to install the Synchronization proxy from dynamics ax setup. It gives error in prerequisite validation that Microsoft Project Server is required. I came to know from some sources that Dynamics AX 2012 R2 does not support Project Server 2013.
Someone please help me in solving this issue. Thanks in advance.
Wich version of r2 are you running on ? Perhaps it does work under cu7 ?
I am using r2 6.2.1000.4051(cu7) . but still it does not integrate with project server 2013.
Please let me know if I am missing something.
well it is not supported by default it seems , but i am pretty sure you can make it work if you find the place in ax where it tries to find project server .. in there you can probably change something so that it recognizes the new version ( a bit like you could do with SharePoint in the past) I can throw a look at it tomorrow if i can find that method
Thanks Rony, I will be waiting for your response.
Hi Mohammed ,
Could i know the importance to integrate the Project server with Ax 2012 ?
Thanks in advance.
I am not a project management expert, but my project managers feel comfortable working with project server instead of working within dynamics ax project management module.
