In our leave and travel workflows we have two step Line manger and Head of department or CXO in must the cases Line manager and HOD is the same person. if the Line manager and HOD is the same person system should skip Line Manager step.
I am not sure is it possible or not?
Write a parm method on your workflow document that determines whether they are the same user. You can then use this in your conditions in workflow.
Thank you Mr. Janathan.
the solution worked
Thanks a lot for this good idea.
the issue now how to get the current step user in order to compare it and skip if this user already approved before.
i.e. we have request WF steps -> Line Manager, Director, ....
sometimes Line Manager = Director. he already approved as a line manager but 2nd step will be created automatically and assigned to him.
In 2nd step: We need to resolve the group and get the user.
check this user already approved this request before or not.
if yes, the constion will fail and step will be skiped.
how to get the 2nd step assigned group name, how to resolve it to get the user then how to add the condition.
thanks in advance.
