I need to create an organizational structure (hierarchy) using business units, departments, and cost centers. I know I can link a position to a department. Question: how do I link a position or a worker to organization units and cost centers? I need to answer inquiries like:
- employees/positions by unit
employees/positions by regions
As also mentioned in your other question:
It is only supported to have the Department as organization unit on the Position. This feature will build a Position hierarchy.
If you need other features, this would require a customization.
Many thanks for your answer.
Adding employees to positions (and departments) will be one step - and create a position hierarchy, which can be used in e.g. workflows - but you'll also need to create an organization hierarchy linking the various unit types you have e..g. linking a business unit with departments (see e.g. the Home-Business Unit on VPC) in order to answer your questions.
