we can buy 1pc at 10$, or a carton of 10, our unit C.10, at 90$. So we have two lines in our trade agreement for that. Our master scheduling use Min/Max. Can it handle this different prices ? The only way I found is to precise as purchase unit C.10, but sometimes we have more than 2 lines. I'm not sure Unit is a good way to handle that ? What do you think ?
Thanks in advance.
I believe it will look at the demand, or in the case of a safety stock (why Min/Max? I hope you have a real space constraint) it will look at the inventory UOM. I believe it will then look at the default purchase UOM and check the trade agreement for that. You can check if it would use the conversion and bring back a cheaper carton in a different UOM, I have not. It comes back to the inventory UOM and the purchasing UOM. If you were to manually raise a PO you would need to manually change the UOM - MP does not know to do this and sees no reason to do so (I would guess).
