I was asked to look into the creation of a new warehouse. This warehouse was supposed to have the same locations as an already existing warehouse. I've found that it's possible to copy all locations of a warehouse over to a newly created warehouse in a matter of seconds so this is not the issue.
What I was wondering about is how warehouses are linked to a general ledger account. I've looked around but can't seem to find where this is set up. Is this even required? Or am I looking in the wrong forms (as I can't really find anything about this in the Microsoft manuals either)?
Thanks in advance,
How you want to link warehouse with general ledger account. What is purpose for doing this?
if you have specific requirement please specify.
You can make warehouse as financial dimension.
Yeah never mind my question.
I just remembered the link between items and the general ledger accounts is actually done on the items side of things (item group field in the items form), not the actual warehouse. So I sort of answered my own question 5 minutes after asking it on here... ;)
its really good that you found the answer.
I think in AX4, its not possible to make warehouse as FD, using standard AX.
It needs huge customization
it is only 2012, which started giving us numberless Financial Dimensions
